Effective August 31, 2026. These terms cover hivestead.co and the Hivestead apps. They are written to be read.
Hivestead is a set of family apps: chores and rewards, a family journal, a household budget, and a driving practice log. An adult creates a hive (a family), invites other adults, and creates kid profiles. Features may grow or change; we will not remove your data's exportability.
Use Hivestead for your family. Do not attempt to access other families' data, probe or overload the service, or upload content that is illegal or that you have no right to store. We may suspend accounts that do.
Hivestead is currently in a free beta. When paid plans launch, prices will be stated before you pay, subscriptions will renew until cancelled, and cancelling will keep your data available for export. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and refunded under those stores' terms.
Your family's content belongs to you. You give us only the license needed to store it, back it up, and show it to your hive: nothing more. Delete your hive and that license ends, with data removed as the privacy policy describes.
Hivestead is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, and we aim for but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. To the fullest extent the law allows, Hivestead Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You can delete your hive at any time. We can end or suspend service for breach of these terms, with notice and an export window except where abuse makes that impossible.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA. If a clause is found unenforceable, the rest stand. These terms plus the privacy policy are the whole agreement.
